Gretchen Green makes her artwork from tin cans: cookie and candy tins, beer, and soda cans. They are assembled and encased in a resin pour. Gretchen is inspired by Primitive Art, Folk Art, and Outsider Art. Chosen for “The Best of The Best” Florida Artists at Backus Museum in 2009 she received an “Award of Merit.” She had a one-person exhibit at La MaMa Galleria in NYC in 2013, and again in 2018. Her piece “Cutter,” won first place in the Vero Beach Humane Society Show. “Cherry Pit” was accepted into the 2014 ArtFields Competition in Lake City, SC. She recently had a show at the Emerson Center in Vero Beach. You can see more of Gretchen’s work at the Seriously Mixed Media gallery at 207 Orange Ave. in downtown Fort Pierce
